Marcy is a licensed clinical social worker and Reiki Master/Teacher.
She can help you:

Her practice combines traditional therapies with leading-edge Energy Psychology
(EP), including Emotional Freedom Techniques, Tapas Acupressure Technique
and Thought Field Therapy. Energy Psychology is fast, effective, nurturing
and safe. The eclectic combination of traditional and EP methods is adapted
to the unique needs of each client. Marcy’s particular interests
lie in trauma, anxiety/panic, chronic illness, life transitions and depression.
She treats adults and adolescents age 16 & up.
After graduating summa cum laude from Mt. St. Mary College and Fordham
University, Marcy completed her post-graduate studies at the Institute
for the Family in Princeton Junction, NJ, studying with world-renown child
psychiatrist, H. Charles Fishman, MD. She completed additional training
in Mind/Body Medicine in 2008 and is one of the first four therapists
in the country to be recognized as a Master Practitioner by the National
Institute for the Clinical Application of Behavioral Medicine. Her 20
years’ clinical experience includes public health, hospice, alcoholism
treatment, education, individual and family therapy and employee assistance
programs. As a trainer, Marcy has presented at national and state conferences,
in corporations and taught undergraduate courses in Human Services.
Marcy is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, the
International Association of Reiki Practitioners and the Association for
Comprehensive Energy Psychology. Her volunteer activities, past and present,
include serving on two boards of directors, as an officer in professional
organizations, a facilitator of health-related and bereavement support
groups and a trainer for Mental Health Association volunteers. She continues
to teach Reiki and write for several professional newsletters.
